A few words about me.  By Laura.

Laura Speer.  Born in Banner Elk, NC and grew up in Boone.  Spent 5 years as a military brat living in Kansas and Hawaii before returning to NC for college.  Attended UNC-Greensboro and graduated in 1994 with a degree in Biology and a minor in Latin.  I work as a chemical technician at Novartis Corp.  In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, cooking, bowling and quilting.   I have two fish (Bubba and Tex).  My church background includes Baptist, Presbyterian and military non-denominational.  I started coming to Peace in 1996 and re-dedicated my life to Christ at that point.  Other than the worship team, I am also involved with the Peacekeepers Ladies Ministry and the Conspiracy of Kindness Ministry.   God is my rock and I thank him constantly for seeing something in me and giving me the opportunity to share his love with others.
